Alex Dean Spark is a musician, song writer and performer. He completed 7 years of music school when living in Russia. He majored in piano, with an emphasis on traditional Western Classical Music. He first learned the acoustic guitar in 1986, after inspiration by The Beatles. The Yuppie Band was his first band, formed in 1987. They performed at various school concerts, events and regional fairs. Alex’s band helped to raise funds during a big benefit concert, to support victims of the earthquake in Armenia (USSR).
In 1993, he gave his life to Jesus Christ and began to experience a transformation by the love of God the Father. It was then that he started to listen to Christian music. He was really moved hearing music by Carman, The Newsboys and DC Talk. Alex began to record his new songs, inspired by God's love. In 1997, Spark released his single, “Jesus Christ” in Russia, and it became a hit. This song is well known in almost all rehabilitation centers throughout Russia. Even now, many Russian churches use this song for street evangelism. Alex Dean has experience traveling and performing his songs in different cities in the USA and in Russia.
During the years from 2000 – 2003, he participated in the International Christian Music Festival, “Bridges Of Love” and was featured on the CD’s bearing the same name. This event connects Russian speaking believers all over the world, while promoting Christian music.
Since 2008, Alex Dean Spark has made Canada his home. To date, he has recorded two albums; “Separation” - 1994 (Russia), and “Forever” - 2002 (USA).
